A Belleville woman has been sentenced in Sault Saint Marie for offences that occured nine years ago.
Twenty-nine-year-old Lisa Behnke pleaded guilty to three counts of theft and five counts each of failing to attend court and breach of recognizance, and was given an eight month conditional sentence.
Behnke and a co-accused man stole over one-thousand dollars worth of groceries from the same store in two shopping trips in 2000, and also took over 300 dollars worth of merchandise from Sears the same year.
