No deal is in sight yet for moving the Quinte Exhibition from its present location at the fairgrounds.
Belleville continues to negotiate with the Belleville Agricultural Society regarding a proposed move of the Quinte Exhibition to another site.
Mayor Mitch Panciuk is chairing the new Fairgrounds Property Use Committee which has been in talks with the Society.
Panciuk tells Quinte News they are in the midst of getting information on the lease and other items.
Panciuk points out the Agricultural Society is 198 years old.
Negotiations have been ongoing, with stops and starts, over a number of years.
The property sits dormant except for when the Quinte Ex is on, and for occasional smaller events.
