In the wake of doping scandals and relaxed treatment of sports committees, Mr. Koehler left his position as Deputy Director General to head Global Athlete, along with British cyclist Callum Skinner and eight Olympians or Paralympians. Mr. Koehler is tired of athletes being told to keep quiet and is determined to see them balance the power with sports administrators. The international advocacy group strives for change in the sporting world including better athlete welfare and anti-doping systems.
