No injuries have been reported but there could be some traffic delays around Trenton Street and Telephone Road in Quinte West this evening.
A dump truck, with its bucket up, hit the train overpass and caused the bucket to come off the truck.
The bridge also suffered some damage.
Train traffic has been delayed, including VIA Rail service, while railway crews inspect the bridge to make sure it is safe for trains to continue on.
We’ll have updates to the story as they are available, but drivers should avoid the area for the time being.
