Life has returned to normal at Belleville General following an hour-long lock-down at the hospital this morning.
The parking lot and street outside BGH were locked down after police received a 9-1-1 call at about 10:30 this morning.
Callers to our newsroom say it appeared a search was underway in the parking lot.
It’s believed a suicide occurred inside a van, which is currently covered by a tarp, in a hospital parking lot. but, that hasn’t been confirmed by police. The hospital was fully re-opened by 11:30.
