An anonymous donor has the Belleville General Hospital Foundation $300,000 closer to its $2.9 million goal.
The gift to the regional Nuclear Medicine Camera project is the latest in a number of major donations to the campaign.
BGHF Executive Director Steven Cook says this latest donation is being offered as an incentive to drive the Foundation’s annual Christmas mail campaign which sees any gift up to $300,000 matched dollar for dollar.
Nuclear medicine assists in the diagnosis in cancer and other serious diseases.
BGH has three nuclear medicine cameras, aged two, 14 and 18 years, with replacement recommended between eight and 12 years.
