It rained a lot yesterday and for a long time and that means a new rainfall record for the Quinte region.
According to Environment Canada and readings taken at CFB Trenton 31.8 millimetresĀ or just over one and a quarter inches of rainĀ fell yesterday.
That easily surpassed the previous rainfall record for an October 22 in this area which was 22.4 mm set 82 years ago in 1937.
