THOMAS, Gerald “Gerry” Foster
April 21, 1932 – September 27, 2019
27 year Veteran of the RCAF – Realtor in the Trenton area for 25 years
Passed away peacefully at Trent Valley Lodge with family by his bedside. Born and raised in Malton, Ontario, son of the late Ralph and Marion Thomas. Beloved husband of the late Theressa “Terrie” Thomas (née English). Loving father of Jody Hunt & her husband Allen of Trenton, John Thomas of Brighton and Steve Thomas & his wife Lisa White of Halifax, N.S. Dear Grandpa of Emily (Pieter) van den Berg, Deryck Thomas, Ethan Hunt & Trevor Hunt and Joseph & Ryan MacDougall. Great Grandpa Gerry of Cadence and Artemis van den Berg. Cherished brother of the late Gwen Cranwell. Gerry was a life-long sports enthusiast who played and coached football, hockey, and slow and fast pitch softball.
The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff at the Trent Valley Lodge for all their years of kind and compassionate care. We know they will miss his stories. Keeping with Gerry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to Gerry’s Celebration of Life being held at the Trent Port Marina, 15 Creswell Dr, Trenton on Saturday, October 26th, 2019 from 1 – 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in Gerry’s memory.
