Motor Vehicle Collision
On October 20, 2019 at 5:30 p.m., a vehicle was travelling north on North Front St. The driver of the vehicle attempted to turn left into a business. The vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle. Both vehicles received extensive damage and were towed from the scene. Both drivers were transported to BGH by ambulance with minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for turn not in safety.
Theft while shopping
On October 20, 2019 at 4 p.m., police received a call with regard to the theft of a cell phone. The complainant advised that she believed her phone was removed from her purse while she was loading groceries into her vehicle. Police are reminding the public to keep valuables close while shopping as thieves will take advantage of momentary distractions.
