There was a lot of damage and two people were taken to hospital after a house fire in Campbellford in the midday yesterday (Sunday).
According to Today’s Northumberland, an off-duty firefighter noticed smoke and flames in the porch area of a home at Centre and Cockburn Streets in the town.
An elderly man was rescued from the house by Trent Hills firefighters and he and an elderly woman who’d escaped the fire were both taken to Campbellford Memorial Hospital.
