A driver has been charged with having a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit.
Northumberland OPP were called after a local tow truck driver had helped to get a Volkswagen sedan out of a ditch on McCarty Road north of Cobourg and suspected the driver had been drinking.
Officers responded and took the driver to the detachment for further testing.
Invsetigators say 45-year-old J. Anne Haggerty blew three times the legal limit and was charged with impaired driving.
A court date is scheduled for November 20.
