The winner was also the biggest spender in last year’s federal election in Northumberland-Quinte West.
Conservative candidate Rick Norlock was easily re-elected, and information from Elections Canada shows his total expenses were 85-thousand dollars, compared to 84-thousand for Liberal Paul Macklin.
Green Party representative Ralph Torrie spent 34-thousand dollars, and the N-D-P’S Russ Christianson had expenses of 21-thousand.
