UPDATE @ 5:10 p.m.:
A 38 year-old Belleville man charged with second degree murder has been remanded back into custody.
Dewayne Vacciana made a video appearance in Belleville Court on Wednesday , after he was arrested early in the morning, in connection with an incident on Cannifton Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Police and emergency crews had been called to an apartment just before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, where 54 year old Terri-Lynn Thompson was found dead and Vacciana was arrested just after midnight on Wednesday.
A publication ban was put in effect blocking the release of any evidence presented during the bail hearing, which will resume on October 21, when Vacciana makes another appearance via video.

Belleville Police have laid a murder charge following an incident on Cannifton Road Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to a building just before 5:00 p.m., where a 54-year-old woman was found dead and the BPS Criminal Investigations Branch and Forensic Identification Unit began looking into the incident.
Just after midnight Wednesday morning police arrested a 38-year-old Belleville man, in the city’s west end and charged him with second degree murder.
Investigators say they will not be releasing any names and there is no risk to public safety.
