The route for this year’s Belleville Santa Claus parade will be decided later today (Tuesday).
At its regular meeting today council will decide on whether or not to accept the Belleville Chamber of Commerce’s recommended route which runs west to east down Bridge Street starting at the fairgrounds and ending at the Bayview Mall.
In a press release the Chamber says the city received some input from the public which showed 30 respondents in favour of the Bridge Street route and 18 against.
The Chamber says if crowds aren’t good and the feedback isn’t good from participants they would consider other routes for the parade next year.
The parade is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. Sunday November 17.
Belleville council meets at 4 o’clock this afternoon at city hall.
