The Acting Chief Administrative Officer in Picton announced earlier this week that he will retire at the end of the year.
Robert McAuley has been working with Prince Edward County for 10 years.
In April McAuley accepted council’s invitation to serve as the acting CAO.
The search for a permanent CAO has been underway for several months.
The CAO recruitment committee has identified a short list of candidates.
Interviews with these individuals will begin next week with the objective of hiring a new CAO before McAuley’s retirement.
