There was a big power outage affecting Centre Hastings, Tyendinaga, and as far east as Wolfe Island overnight.
Around 5,000 Hydro One customers were affected by the outage caused by a section of high voltage line going down along a part of County Road 1 in Greater Napanee between 8 and 9 o’clock.
Napanee firefighters had to deal with grass fires sparked by the downed line.
Power was restored around 4 o’clock this (Saturday) morning.
