The dialysis unit in Napanee is about to get some upgraded equipment thanks to two local organizations.
The University Hospitals’ Kingston Foundation has announced that 100 Women Who Care Lennox and Addington is donating $11,175, and L-and-A Mutual Insurance is donating $5,000, to buy new chairs for the patients.
The present dialysis chairs are now more than 10 years old.
Officials say the new chairs will offer improved care and comfort for both patients and staff.
