A man from Peterborough is running for the NDP in Hastings-Lennox and Addington riding in the upcoming federal election.
Speaking on CJBQ’s Lorne Brooker Show Wednesday, David Tough said he wasn’t chosen as the NDP’s flag bearer for the Peterborough area
but was approached by the party to run to the east in Hastings-Lennox and Addington.
Tough said he was enjoying travelling the huge riding and meeting new people adding that it’s important the NDP be represented in every part of the country.
When asked by Brooker why the NDP seemed to be struggling in the polls as of late Tough had this to say.
David Tough is married with one child and is a contract instructor at a couple of universities specializing in Canadian history.
He also volunteers time with the Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough.
