The Belleville Senators reduced their training camp roster to 26 yesterday as 6 players were reassigned to Brampton of the ECHL including goaltenders Joey Daccord and Alex Dubeau.
Two others were released.
There are 9 defencemen still in camp including free agent Griffin Reinhart and 20-year-old rookie Jonathan Aspirot.
B-Sens’ coach Troy Mann called Aspirot one of his best defencemen in the two exhibition games in Laval this weekend. Aspirot scored 3 points in his first two professional games.
Mann expects to start the season with 8 defencemen, 15 forwards and 2 goaltenders.
The new AHL season begins Saturday with Belleville at the Toronto Marlies at 4 o’clock. CJBQ will broadcast every game this season for Deerhaven Farm and Garden and Eastern Overhead Doors..
