Belleville Police have arrested a man and a woman after investigators say their daughter was exposed to Carfentanyl and suffered an overdose.
Police, fire and Hastings-Quinte EMS responded to a home on Pine Street, around 10 a.m. on June 4, where they found the two year-old girl unresponsive.
She was taken to Belleville Generals Hospital before being transferred to Kingston for further treatment and has since recovered.
The Criminal Investigations Branch obtained a warrant for the arrest of both parents, a 29-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man, both from Belleville, who were arrested this week.
They face charges of possession of Carfentanyl, possession of cocaine and criminal negligence.
Both were held for bail hearings.
Police will not be releasing any names to protect the identity of the child.
