A man faces serious charges following a fire at an old farm house last night in Quinte West.
Flames broke out in a bedroom of the house around 7 o’clock at the house on Gunter Settlement Road.
Firefighters contained the flames to a bedroom but had to cut a hole in the roof of the house to do the job.
A woman was treated by paramedics at the scene.
The man has been charged with arson, unlawfully in a dwelling house, assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous, carrying a concealed weapon, and killing or injuring an animal.
He is in for a bail hearing today. (Thursday)
