Frustration was expressed again with the slow progress being made on the $13 million Farnham Road/Maitland Drive project in Belleville at a city council meeting today (Monday).
However, there might be a light at the end of what has become a very long tunnel.
Councillor Bill Sandison told council paving at the roundabout had begun today (Monday) and after that’s done the project should be close to being done, however, it’s already been underway for well over two years.
Mayor Mitch Panciuk says some of the delays could not be blamed on the contractor.
City staff will again press the contractor to provide firm dates for substantial completion of the project and Councillor Paul Carr stressed the need to provide that information to the public.
