With more discussion coming about potentially changing the route for Belleville’s Santa Claus Parade the BDIA says it will get behind the event whichever way the floats travel.
While the BIDA board would prefer the parade run up Front Street, as is tradition, Executive Director Marijo Currier says they’ll be running an event in conjunction with this year’s parade.
She added again that while the BDIA enjoys preserving the tradition of the Front Street parade route, it will support whatever decision is being made by the Chamber of Commerce, the city and emergency officials, because that’s what is safest for parade-goers.
The Chamber of Commerce is proposing to have the parade leave the Quinte Exhibition Grounds and head east along Bridge Street, ending at the Bayview Mall.
