Belleville Police responded to 77 calls for service between 5 a.m. on Sept. 20, 2019 and 5 a.m. Sept. 21, 2019.
Breach of Recognizance & Drugs
On September 20 at 11:55 p.m., police attended Loyalist College Shark Tank Pub with regard to a male causing a disturbance and trying to fight with security staff. The male suspect was on a recognizance to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The man was arrested and was found to be in possession of illicit narcotics. Trent Taxis,18, of Newcastle was charged with one count of breach of recognizance and one count of possession of a Schedule 1 substance. The accused was later released and will appear in Belleville court in October.
Meanwhile, around 2 this morning, Belleville Police responded to a bar on North Front Street.
