A 28-year-old man from Alnwick-Haldimand has been charged after OPP stopped a dirt bike for driving recklessly on a Hamilton Township highway Tuesday morning.
The traffic stop was made around 9 a.m., with the rider being charged with driving while prohibited, driving without a vehicle permit or insurance, using altered plates, speeding and making an unsafe turn.
Brandon Pitre’s dirt bike was impounded for 45 days.
Police are putting out a reminder that it is illegal to drive off-road vehicles on main roads in the township.
