Council in Centre Hastings has voted to go ahead and make an application for funds for two local projects.
At their meeting on Monday night, council approved two motions to apply in the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.
The first application is in regards to the Moria Lake Trestle Bridge.
Mayor Tom Deline says the intent of the application seeks the replacement of the bridge.
The second application would seek funding to replace the outdoor swimming pool in Madoc.
Mayor Deline says both projects are approximately $1 million each but they are waiting on firm numbers.
If successful, the municipality would be on the hook for 27% of each project, with the federal and provincial governments covering the remainder of the cost.
