A fundraising walk/run in memory of Ken Sykes was a huge success.
On Saturday, September 14, family and friends raised $10,000 for The Children’s Foundation Reach for Success Bursary.
The event was held at Highland Shores Children’s Aid to remember the man who was very active with the Children’s Foundation for seven years.
Co-Chair and Board Member Sheri Thompson said she is continuously amazed at the generosity of our community and how something as small as a morning walk can make such a difference for the future of youth in care.
The funds raised will go directly to supporting children in care who are pursuing post-secondary education.
