A 45-year-old Belleville man has been charged after threatening his wife with a chainsaw last night in the east end of the city.
Around 9:30 p.m., Belleville Police were called to the location. The man and his wife had gotten into an argument which lead to him firing up the chainsaw.
After an investigation, the man was charged with assault with a weapon, uttering a threat to cause bodily harm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He was released on a promise to appear in court on October 7.
