The month-end building stats for August have come in from Brighton.
Ten permits were issued for new builds in the municipality, seven of them in urban Brighton and three of them in the rural part of town, totalling a little more than $3.6 million.
A handful of other permits was given out for additions, demolitions and even a pool installation last month as well.
To date, the town has issued 42 building permits worth more than $18.4 million, which is down from 55 permits at a value of almost $21 million last year.
