A suspended Quinte West OPP officer will likely be reinstated soon after pleading guilty Wednesday to charges of discreditable conduct from the Professional Standards Bureau (PSB).
The PSB had charged 1st Class Constable Al Detlor after a previous guilty plea in a criminal case of impaired driving on April 8, for which he was fined $1,500 and handed a one-year driving ban.
A bureau spokesperson tells Quinte News, after his plea Wednesday, Detlor has been given a verbal 24 month demotion to 2nd Class Constable and a written decision will follow.
Detlor is a 13-year veteran of the OPP and has been suspended with pay while his case was being dealt with.
A date for his reinstatement has not been set.
