The fourth anniversary meeting of the 100+ Women Who Care Quinte truly went gold last night.
The organization donated $10,100 to local woman Evelyn Wilson and her Tears Means Love Foundation which is dedicated to raising money to help families deal with their children having cancer.
September has been declared Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Wilson has been speaking throughout the area about the disease and the devastation it can cause everyone involved as part of the Foundation’s Go Gold campaign.
100+ Women Who Care Quinte has now raised almost $209,000 for 16 different charities since its inception.
