We have an update on today’s early morning incident on Frank Street in Belleville.
Just before 2 o’clock a man was rushed to Belleville General and then to Kingston General Hospital suffering a single gunshot wound.
The man was found on the back deck of Scotty Lalonde’s residence at 69 Frank Street. Lalonde spoke on CJBQ’s Lorne Brooker Show and said the actual shooting did not occur at his residence.
His family’s sleep was interupted by a knock at the front door and when he answered there was nobody there.
Several police officers sealed off an area around Frank Street for some time and a K9 unit searched the area to no avail.
Police say the man is being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Constable Mark Abrams at the Belleville Police Service.
