The month of August in the Quinte region was completely normal as far as temperature was concerned but it was drier than is usual.
According to Environment Canada and data collected at CFB Trenton the average high last month was 25 degrees celsius while the average low was 14 degrees, both right in line with historical averages.
However only about 44 millimetres of rain fell last month, a lot less that the usual 72 mm.
The warmest day last month was on the thirteenth when the mercury climbed to 29 degrees.
