The Belleville Police Service responded to 60 calls for service between August 29, 2019 at 5 a.m. and August 30, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
On August 29, 2019, officers responded to nine motor vehicle collisions throughout the city. Six of these were deemed to be minor in nature and were referred to the Collision Reporting Center.
At 12:01 p.m., police responded to a two-car collision at 48 Dundas Street West. One of the vehicles had failed to remain at the scene and was last observed travelling west on Dundas Street West. The vehicle was described as a silver SUV. There were no injuries and the investigation is continuing. Any information can be forwarded to Constable Yanch at jyanch@police.belleville.on.ca
At 1:01 p.m., police responded to a two-car collision on North Front Street south of Tracey Street. One vehicle was towed from the scene, and there were no reported injuries. A driver was charged with following too closely.
At 5:03 p.m., police responded to a two-car collision on Dundas Street East at George Street. There were no injuries. A driver was charged with making an unsafe turn.
