A man from the Toronto area has been charged after Northumberland OPP made an arrest in connection to a stolen vehicle.
Officers were called to a report of a black Dodge pickup, with no licence plates, in an open field near Division and Earle streets in Cobourg this past Friday and found that the vehicle had been reported stolen from the Toronto area earlier this month.
A man and woman were both found at the scene, but only 24-year-old Tyler Almeida of Caledon, was taken into custody.
He’s charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of methamphetamine, obstructing police and two counts of breaching recognizance.
The woman was released and the investigation is continuing.
