Belleville council hopes they don’t have to do another expensive and time-consuming Environmental Assessment when it comes to the land around Bell Boulevard between Sidney Street and Wallbridge Loyalist Road.
The provincial government is asking that the city do a study for their approval before Bell Boulevard can be widened to be ready for more development, especially the one involving Costco.
Mayor Mitch Panciuk spoke on CJBQ’s Lorne Brooker Show today (Wednesday) about a meeting he and other councillors had with the Minister of Environment yesterday at the AMO conference.
Mayor Panciuk says he expects a decision within a few weeks on whether the city will have to do another Environmental Assessment on west Bell Boulevard.
