An upcoming summit for youth across the Quinte Region is getting a boost from the Federal Government.
MP Neil Ellis announced more than $65,000 in funding today for the Youth-2-Youth Summit, run by the United Way of Hastings and Prince Edward, which takes place on September 27 at the Mohawk Community Centre.
The summit will bring together youth from across Hastings County, Prince Edward, Lennox and Addington, and the Tyendinaga Territory, to address local issues and find youth-led solutions to those problems.
The money comes from the Canada Service Corps, which is the country’s national youth service initiative, providing young people the opportunity to make a difference in their communities, while gaining important life and work skills.
