Prince Edward County is looking to the province for some assistance in connection with the damage caused by the rising waters of Lake Ontario this year.
Mayor Steve Ferguson tells Quinte News this is the “most pressing concern” he will raise at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference in Ottawa next week.
He will meet with the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks Rod Phillips.
Mayor Ferguson says the Prince Edward County delegation will also meet with Minister of Municipal Affairs Steve Clark regarding affordable housing.
He also has an appointment with the Airbnb Corporation regarding the licensing issue for those accommodations in the county.
