It looks as though Stirling-Rawdon will be joining many other communities in welcoming, and legalizing, secondary suites or so-called granny flats in existing residences.
Stirling-Rawdon’s Planning Committee passed a secondary unit by-law at its meeting Tuesday night.
Mayor Bob Mullin says the by-law will allow the municipality to insure such units are well built and up to code and will be a good thing for people.
Stirling-Rawdon council will make a final decision on the by-law at a meeting next month.
