Three communities are receiving provincial funding for their public transit projects.
MPP Daryl Kramp announced on Tuesday, $233,014 is being invested in Marmora and Lake, Bancroft and Deseronto by nominating them to the federal government under the Public Transit stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.
The Municipality of Marmora and Lake will receive $34,336.47 towards an accessible passenger bus with two wheelchair seats for local transit. The Town of Bancroft will receive $70,249 towards the purchase of public transit vehicles.
