There was a lot of interest in the job of tearing down two buildings and an old water tower in the City of Quinte West.
At its meeting tonight (Monday) Quinte West council will decide how to proceed with the demolition of the old College Street School, the former Trenton Fire Hall, and the water tower on Mount Pelion.
There were a total of 12 bids for the work, with the lowest tender being $710,000 and the highest close to $1.8 million.
All of the tenders were higher than the amount set aside by council in its budget.
Quinte West council meets at 6:30 tonight at city hall.
