UPDATE: Michael Leroux of Napanee has turned himself into police this morning and is currently in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
Leroux is believed to have assisted with his girlfriend Breanne Hass’s escape.
The OPP is asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted as a possible accomplice in a stabbing incident in Amherstview Thursday night.
Breanne Hass, 24, was arrested yesterday morning and charged with aggravated assault and other charges listed below.
Lennox and Addington OPP searched an apartment belonging to Hass and her boyfriend, 22-year-old Michael Leroux.
Police believe he was present at the stabbing incident and helped Hass escape. They also seized firearms and illegal drugs.
Leroux faces the following charges.
- Accessory after the fact to the commission of an indictable offence;
- Possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling;
- Possession of firearm knowing the serial number has been tampered with;
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle;
- Careless storage of a firearm;
- Possession of cocaine;
- Possession of Schedule II drugs;
- Possession of a Schedule III drug for the purpose of trafficking
Hass faces a long list of charges as well.
- Aggravated Assault;
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
- Possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling;
- Failing to comply with bail conditions;
- Possession of a firearm knowing that the serial number has been tampered with;
- Possession of cocaine;
- Possession of a Schedule II drug;
- Careless storage of a firearm
