The Municipality of Brighton has released their plans to help clean up following this year’s flooding.
A bin for empty sandbag disposal will be located at the Public Works Building at 67 Sharpe Road from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Full sandbags can be left beside the bin for disposal.
Staff will also be picking up full sandbags at the curbside from August 26 to September 6, but residents must contact the Public Works Department for pick-up at 613-475-1162.
The municipality reminds residents the decision to remove sandbags from their property is up to them and advises people to observe notices from the Lower Trent Conservation Authority.
