Provincial Police are looking into an attempted break-in on Saturday afternoon that prompted a significant police response.
Eleven OPP units from Prince Edward, Lennox and Addington, the Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit all responded to the call on Station Road in Hillier, after neighbours saw two men trying to get into an unoccupied property.
Investigators say the pair ran into a pasture, but it’s expected they got into a vehicle a short way away, driving off to the west.
Both men are believed to be in their 30s with dark hair.
One had his hair in a bun, the other’s was medium length.
They were both wearing long pants, with one man wearing a black t-shirt, the other wearing a grey t-shirt and one of them also had a red bandana across his face.
Since OPP are still investigating they are asking residents of The County to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods.
