Hepditch, Irene Wanda (nee Montague) of the Trent Valley Lodge passed away peacefully at the Trenton Memorial Hospital on Sunday, July 28, 2019. Irene was in her 89th year, and the loving wife of Wally Hepditch for 63 years, (minus 9 days). She was the loving daughter of John and Dulcie (Chaulk) Montague of North West River, Labrador. Loving daughter in law of Philip and Hattie (Thornhill) Hepditch of English Hr. West, NL. Irene is survived by her husband Wally, her children; Cathy Fleming ( Gary) of Castlegar, BC, Philip Hepditch (Patti) of Fredericton, NB, Audrey Butterfield (Rod) of Medicine Hat, AB and Louise Whaley (Richard) of Trenton, Ontario. She will be lovingly remembered by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survived by her sisters; Pauline Andersen (late Sam), Jane Gear (Wilson), Vera Best (Late Bob) all of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador and her brothers; Michael Montague (Pearl), Tommy Montague (Winnie) and Irving Montague, all of North West River, Labrador. Also survived by her sister in law Ada May (late Merrill) of English Hr. West, NL. A large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents and parents in law, infant twin sisters Ardella and Ethel, brothers Russell Montague (surviving Minnie), Louie Montague and his wife Ruth (Andersen), Stewart Montague (surviving Gwen). Also predeceased by her niece Arlene Andersen and nephews Percy Montague, Bryce Gear and Wally May. The family will receive friends at the Weaver Life Centre, 29 Bay Street, Trenton on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 7-9 pm and again on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 10-11 am and funeral ceremony to follow at 11 am. Cremation to follow.
