The figures are still being tallied, but it looks like another successful year for the Rotary Loves Kids golf tournament.
Co-chair Randy Coker says between two courses they had approximately 130 participants and he believes they hit their fundraising goal of $100,000.
There were 120 participants at Black Bear Ridge and 90 at Trillium this year to participate in the 17th annual tournament.
Over the past 17 years that the Rotary Club has put on the tournament, they’ve raised over $1 million.
Funds raised go to community projects like Rotary Music Park, helping to purchase medical equipment and 10% of funds raised go to the Quinte Children’s Foundation.
Coker told Quinte News there is another fundraiser in the works and it will take place this fall. More details on that event are expected at a later date.
