Charges have been laid in connection to the death of 34-year-old Picton native, Travis Rosseau, according to the Prince Edward County OPP Detachment.
On March 11, the Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services responded to a home on Loyalist Parkway in Hallowell Township, where the victim was found unresponsive and pronounced dead on the scene.
After a police investigation, police say 33-year-old Thomas Fox of Picton has been arrested and charged with trafficking in an opioid which was found in Rosseau’s system during a postmortem examination.
Fox was arrested and charged with manslaughter Thursday. He is scheduled to appear in court Friday at the Belleville courthouse.
