It is no secret that finding a place to live in Prince Edward County isn’t exactly an easy feat.
Council will hear from the Prince Edward, Lennox and Addington Social Services in regards to their housing revitalization plan during their Committee of the Whole meeting on Thursday afternoon.
PELASS is aiming to develop a 20 year strategic housing revitalization plan to effectively guide decisions to help meet current and future housing needs in their service area, which includes Prince Edward County.
The four step plan includes a housing needs assessment, an evaluation of the current potential, and identifying and evaluating alternate options followed by developing the revitalization plan.
The report put together by PELASS identifies the aging population, emerging diversity in households and growth in smaller and single-person households which are some of the emerging issues locally.
Council meets at Shire Hall at 1 p.m.
