Bancroft OPP have arrested five people after search warrants were executed at two locations in the area last month.
Police raided two addresses on Woodview Lane early in the morning on June 20 and found a number of stolen items, drug paraphernalia, cocaine, cannabis products, heroin, cash and other items.
Suspects arrested four adults and one teenager with the charges as follows:
23-year-old Gordy Armstrong of Faraday Township, Ontario has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Heroin
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000.
38-year-old Julia Hunt of the Town of Bancroft has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Heroin
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000.
35-year-old Jody Dejong of the Town of Bancroft has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking.
29-year-old Ashley Shaw of Bancroft Ontario has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – Opioid
- Fail to Comply with Recognizance
A 15-year-old male, Young Offender, who cannot be identified as defined in the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA) was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 and
- Fail to Comply with Sentence.
