There is good news after three people were reported missing early this morning (Sunday) on the border between Tyendinaga Township and Belleville.
Tyendinaga and Belleville firefighters, along with police and EMS paramedics responded at 6:15 to reports that the three had not returned after entering a cave in the Moira cave system somewhere along Scuttlehole Road.
Shortly after 8 o’clock the trio were located somewhere in a cave and were taken to safety by boat on the Moira River by firefighters, and treated on land by paramedics.
It’s not believed there were any serious injuries.
